1. When did SEAGM launch two-factor authentication [2FA]?
SEAGM officially launched the 2FA secure login on 16 May 2024.
2. What is two-factor authentication [2FA], and why was it launched lately?
Two-factor authentication [2FA] is a type of multi-factor authentication (MFA) that enhances or increases access security by requiring two methods to validate a user's identity. Two-factor authentication strengthens the authentication process by making it more difficult for attackers to access a person's devices or online accounts. Even if the user's password is compromised, it is not enough to pass the authentication check. Therefore, SEAGM introduced 2FA as we believe that 2FA will be an effective way to protect our users against various security threats that target user passwords and accounts, including phishing, brute-force attacks, credential exploitation and more.
3. How do I know if my account requires me to complete the 2FA login?
You will see a pop-out [Two-Factor Authentication] when clicking on login[→].

[a] You will need to check your mailbox for the 2FA code and enter it correctly in the [fill in 2FA code] column.

4. What should I do if I do not receive the 2FA code in my mailbox?
If you do not receive the 2FA code in your mailbox, do try a few suggested ways below:
[a] Enter the keyword [SEAGM] in your mailbox search section and search it.
[b] Do check your mailbox under the junk/spam section.
[c] Whitelist the domain [seagm.com] in your email account. For steps, kindly refer to our related articles on the SEAGM support page.
[d] If the above ways did not work, do not worry! Just inform our support team via LiveChat.
5. If I need to get a new 2FA code, how can I request it?
You may close the current 2FA tab by clicking [Cancel] and click on [→] to perform login. Two-factor authentication will pop out, you will receive a new 2FA code in your mailbox.

[ii] Click again on [→] and two-factor authentication will pop out again. You will then receive a new code in your mailbox.
6. How do I know if my account exceeded the trying attempts and what will happen next?
Once exceeding the number of trying attempts, an error of [Trigger 2fa has reached its hourly limit] will pop out. You may try logging in again an hour later. If you have difficulties receiving the 2FA code from your mailbox, kindly refer to [4].
